IMPACT EVALUATION OF CONSTRUCTIVE AND TECHNOLOGICAL PARAMETERS OF A SINGLE MATRIX PRESS ON GRANULE QUALITY

Annotation

The paper deals with the dependence of granule quality on some constructive and technological parameters of a single matrix gear press. The factors were the coefficient of a tooth addendum, pressing material supply , and the rotation frequency of operative parts. An optimization criterion was the impact resistance of granules. The paper contains a brief description of granule characteristics, of the press and its operation process, as well as the figure of the device for determine the impact resistance of granules. The objective of the study was to determine the influence of the coefficient of a tooth addendum, the rotation frequency of the matrix, and pressing material supply on the impact resistance of granules. Further the plan and matrix of experiment planning, the values of factors for the different levels of variation, and experimental optimization criteria are cited. Mathematical model of the impact resistance of granules as a second-order polynomial are cited, the roots of polynomials are found, the system of equations is solved and the response surface graphs are plotted. At the end of the paper, the analysis of mathematical model and general conclusions of the study are made. The impact resistance of granules is decreased while three factors are decreasing. The minimal impact resistance of granules was 1.9 %.
