SUBSTANTIATION OF SUITABILITY FOR RECLAMATIONS OF SMALL WATER BODIES AND ADVICE ON THEIR IMPLEMENTATION

Annotation

Critical state of small water bodies numbering in our country more than one hundred thousand is pointed out in the article. They accumulate considerable volume of water resources and occupy quite a number of ravine and gully network. In time without appropriate reclamation measures these water objects will pass from the category of economically significant to category of causing damage to the environment and a human being. Under emerged conditions it is necessary to change purely exploitative treatment of small water bodies and depending on the state of a water body and drainage area it is proposed to conduct different kinds of reclamations: vegetable, engineering, water, chemical, aerial, and technical reclamations. Small water bodies created by a man are the "living organism" of nature requiring theoretically substantiated maintenance.
