TECHNIQUE FOR EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF THE JET DEVICE FITTED WITH RECIRCULATION LINE

Annotation

The paper considers the technique for experimental study of the jet device mounted on a suction line of an axial-flow pump. The method and experimental procedures are illustrated. Engineering measurement devices are noted. A special attention is given to the choice of factors affecting on the efficiency of the device. For this purpose the ranked curve for assessment of selected factors upon the pretest stage has been developed. The choice of factors was carried out percentagewise by the relative level of their influence on the process outcome. This technique allowed eliminating the irrelevant 6 factors included in the plan -matrix experiments which do not have a significant impact on the efficiency of the process. So, the influence of factors Õ4, Õ5, X6 on process outcome doesn’t exceed 9 % from maximum, that is seven times less than the level of factor Õ1. So, their involvement in the given experiment can be excluded which helps to simplify the experiment and reduce the cost of its implementation. Key words: axial-flow pump, recirculation line, jet device, factors, ranked curve.
