GULLY MODELING FOR FOREST RECLAMATION PURPOSES
- Land Reclamation, Recultivation, and Land Protection
The purpose of research is the engineering development and substantiation of parameters of a digger plow enabling the effective implementation of technological process of making a temporary irrigation network in compliance with the requirements of its energy consumption. The strategic direction of the existing reclaimed lands use is the population support with vegetable production and livestock with fodder. During the introduction of various kinds of sanctions by Western countries irrigation engineering is of particular relevance. Farmers and above all, agricultural scientists face the task of significant farm production expenses decrease for its competitive growth. Within irrigation costs by sprinkling, 45–58 % accounts for energy resources, which lead to an increase in the cost of agricultural products. In this regard, it’s necessary to refer to undeservedly forgotten surface method of irrigation: by furrow, strips and flooding. At the same time improving the technologies of the mechanized operations, mainly such energy-intensive as hack temporary irrigation network, should be given particular attention. As the main methodological approach of determining the initial requirements to the developed structures and their parameters, the well-known conditions of irrigation methods choice based on soil permeability, filtration coefficient, degree of salinity and topography were adopted. The advantage of the proposed design is the availability of compacted and leveled-off walls of bottom and slopes, temporary sprinklers and small canals that allow to extend their life and cause the qualitative implementation of technological process of watering of irrigated crops during the vegetation season.
