GULLY MODELING FOR FOREST RECLAMATION PURPOSES
- Land Reclamation, Recultivation, and Land Protection
The objective of the research was to investigate the impact of super-absorbents, preplant treatment of seeds and foliar application on crop forming of pea cultivars Oplot and Tsarevich in the southern Steppe of Ukraine. Super-absorbents studied were “Agrarian hydro-gel” and AQUASAVE, which were incorporated into the soil by dose 20 kg/ha before sowing. In the day of sowing seeds were treated by “Mochevin-K6” (1 liter per ton of seeds at 10 % concentration of working solution) and “Escort-Bio” (50 ml per hectare sowing norm of seeds, concentration of working solution – 1 %). Foliar applications were conducted at the phases of 5–6 leaves and budding – flowering of pea plants by spaying “Mochevin-K2” and D2 by the dose of 1 l/ha, “Escort-Bio” – 0.5 l/ha at the consumption of working solution 200 l/ha. The positive impact of studied substances on plant density formation including the number of plants surviving to harvest was marked. The use of super-absorbent “Agrarian hydro-gel” in 2013–2014 increased germination of pea cultivar Oplot by 2.0 % comparing to control variant, and cultivar Tsarevich – by 9.2 %. The greatest number of plants germinated at the combined using of “Agrarian hydro-gel” and preplant treatment of seeds by “Mochevin-K6”, which were for cultivar Oplot 99.1 seeds per m² and for cultivar Tsarevich – 96.4 seeds per m². In average the best survivability for the plants of both cultivars to the harvest period was in the variants with combination of super-absorbent AQUASAVE, preplant treatment of seeds by “Mochevin-K6” and twice foliar application by preparat D2; so, the number of plants to the harvest period for cultivar Oplot was 92.6 plants per m², for cultivar Tsarevich – 90.2 plants per m².
