GULLY MODELING FOR FOREST RECLAMATION PURPOSES

The purpose of the research is to develop and substantiate the design of the plow digger, capable of producing a qualitative temporary net-forming furrowing with improved anti-filtration features at reducing the traction resistance by 10–15 %. The plow digger has a passive working attachment, which consists of two blades placed at a certain angle to each other, one of which is a mirror image of the other. More than 2.1 thousand hectares are irrigated in Volgograd region in this way. This method involves the use of a network of small transport canals that feed water from domestic canals to irrigation furrows. They are digged in an earthen bed only for the period of irrigation, then they are filled up and are called the annual irrigation network. The net-forming furrowing is made by plow diggers with the formation of cross-sections in a cut-and-fill way. They are easy to form, reliable in operation and have a low specific metal content. However, the known constructions have a number of significant drawbacks. Among them are low quality of the cut profile, high traction resistance. The design improvement can reduce traction resistance and improve the quality of work. One of the most important indicators of a plow digger is the increased traction resistance, the reduction of which is ensured by introduction of a cutting disk, a roller and compaction rollers into the design.
