GULLY MODELING FOR FOREST RECLAMATION PURPOSES
- Land Reclamation, Recultivation, and Land Protection
The aim of the work was to review water-rotation systems based on hydraulic reclamation recycling. The improvement of water-rotation systems efficiency based on hydraulic reclamation recycling is possible with the help of proper management of runoff from irrigated lands, the implementation of agro-reclamation measures for accumulation and distribution of atmospheric precipitation and drainage water due to the regulation of hydro-physical and agrochemical properties of soils. As a result of the review it was found that water-rotation systems consist of both drainage and moistening elements: drainage wells, moistening reservoirs, accumulation reservoirs and storage ponds, pumping stations and a number of other elements. The given classification of water-rotation systems based on the natural-geographical conditions of their location showed that choosing a water-rotation system most often is relied on the drain water diversion type, as this factor is fundamental; drainage construction is the most costly and environmental forming stage in the creation of such systems. Water-rotation systems make it possible to maintain the balance of hydrological and hydro-geological conditions in the zone of reclamation system, to make full use of water and land resources through the accumulation and redistribution of local runoff within the reclamation system, to ensure the automatic maintenance of the optimum water regime, to increase crop yields, and to increase the gross agricultural production.
