GULLY MODELING FOR FOREST RECLAMATION PURPOSES
- Land Reclamation, Recultivation, and Land Protection
The aim of the research is to investigate the mechanism of biological activity of electro-chemically activated water (ECAW), organization and functional classification of the experience of applying such water in agriculture. The study was based on the analysis and analytical generalization of published research materials as well as the conditions of positive results. Review and analytical generalization of published research works have shown that the models for applying of ECAW can be divided by functions on “sanitizing” activity when study the conditions for aborting and inhibiting of biological systems development, and “stimulating” activity, when study the conditions which facilitate the development of biological systems. Mechanism of “sanitizing” activity of ECAW consists in going beyond the limits of life possibility by changing redox potential in organs and tissues. Particularly, there are such data that microorganisms with high level of sustainability to acid environment (pH = 2–3) can’t propagate at redox potential less than 400 mV. Groups of bacteria most adapted to slightly acidic environment (pH = 4–5) die at redox potential in nutritional solution less 100 mV or greater than 900 mV. Bacteria which prefer neutral environment of nutritional solution can’t tolerate the values of redox potential less than minus 130 mV and greater than 500 mV. In alkaline environment (pH = 9–10), bacteria die while redox potential increases up to minus 50 mV and higher. Mechanism of “stimulating” activity of ECAW is considered as a result of electron-donor and electron-acceptor activity of ECAW.
