DECISION SUPPORT SYSTEM FOR WATER ALLOCATION BASED ON WEB TECHNOLOGIES

Annotation

The purpose of the study is to improve and increase the efficiency of operational management of water distribution using information technology at the work of dispatching service for inter-farm irrigation systems. The issues of the management improvement of water distribution at the inter-farm irrigation systems were considered based on the methodology of Systems Analysis, methods of modeling of complex systems, simulation and mathematical modeling, theory of optimal solutions, creating new information technologies. The models, algorithms, and procedures for the management of water distribution at the inter-farm irrigation systems were developed to provide guaranteed equitable water allocation on the basis of stability and uniformity of water supply, minimizing unproductive water losses, and conducting objective statistics on a wide range of quality control criteria. These models were focused on the unification of irrigation systems using methodical and decision support systems (DSS) software. The analysis of current trends and approaches for developing information management systems was done, and the advantage of implementing a software and technology platform for DSS using "cloud computing" as on-line service for Internet user was established. Analyzing the offers from the leading companies specialized on "cloud computing" the DSS for water allocation was developed based on the Google product. Thus, the use of innovative technologies in the field of information processing will provide a high potential of the created application for control of water usage at inter-farm irrigation systems.
