RIVER BASINS TYPIFICATION OF CRIMEA BY AGROLANDSCAPES AND ECOLOGICAL LOAD

Annotation

In this paper the characteristics of water availability in Crimea with the indication of the main factors that influence on the water resources accessibility and their use efficiency is described. A methodological approach for the allocation of the main types of rivers and assessment of anthropogenic load on them has been proposed. The author created maps, namely watershed boundaries map, water pollution sources map, and maps of ecological state of river basins, which were created using software of the Esri company (ArcView, Spatial Analyst tools and ArcHydro). The typification of river basins was carried out on ecological state of agrolandscapes on the territory by land use indicator and integrated indicator. The main polluters of water resources were identified. It was revealed that the integrated indicator allows evaluating the anthropogenic load on the watershed caused by the intensity of land use, urbanization level of the territory, and the amount of pollutants discharged into water bodies of the peninsula.
