GULLY MODELING FOR FOREST RECLAMATION PURPOSES
- Land Reclamation, Recultivation, and Land Protection
On the basis of the principles of general systems theory the doctrine of erosionpreventive engineering-biological systems (EPEBS) was developed. The leading constituent elements of EPEBS were identified: protective forest plantations, hydraulic facilities, and permanent grasses. The slave constituent elements include agronomic erosion-preventive measures and growing technologies of agricultural crops. EPEBS structure consists of biotic and engineering subsystems. Biotic subsystem includes the local natural and organized biota. Engineering subsystem consists of agro technical and hydraulic components (parts). Agro technical part combines techniques of farming cropping. Hydraulic engineering part includes slope and bottom structures. Erosion control system covers the entire watershed area or the entire erosion landscape area. Organization the territory of EPEBS is carried out by placing the constituent elements, while taking into account the hierarchy of erosion-preventive system.
