MODERN STATE AND DEVELOPMENT PROSPECTS OF MACHINE COMPLEX FOR MAINTAINING IRRIGATION CANALS (OVERVIEW)

Annotation

The paper deals with the modern state of machine complex for maintaining irrigation canals on the sample of the Rostov region and gives the unsatisfactory evaluation. It was found that one of the reasons of such state was the neglect of required maintenance and repair works on deleting weed vegetation from the slopes and berms of canals including equipment limitation in exploiting organization. In regional agencies of Land Reclamation Department of Russian Ministry of Agriculture the available park of equipment for deleting weed vegetation was analyzed. It is revealed that not all the operations of technological process for deleting weed vegetation from the slopes and berms of canals support by the required machines, and most of those available on the balance sheet of regional agencies of Land Reclamation Department of Russian Ministry of Agriculture morally and physically obsolete, not meet the requirements, and can’t ensure the required amount of work on irrigation canal cleaning. The state-of-the-art models of domestic and foreign clippers presented on the market was reviewed and analyzed. The opportunity of replenishing the park of machines in regional agencies by these clippers was estimated.
