GULLY MODELING FOR FOREST RECLAMATION PURPOSES
- Land Reclamation, Recultivation, and Land Protection
The paper shows that longitudinally uniform turbulence flows give the best fit to the principle of piecewise self-similarity contrary to popular belief. It is revealed that the flows can be divided into five conventional zones. The averaged velocity distribution is self-similar within each zone. At the same time, it was found that the boundaries of the conditional zones are defined by values of global Reynolds number and by relative roughness. The specified statements are proved by a lot of numerical simulations. Range of Reynolds numbers was from 4×10³ to 1011. Herewith the relative roughness changed from 0 to 0.1.
