SPECIFICS OF ANTHROPOGENIC TRANSFORMED SOIL FORMING OF THE GOLF COURSE - THE MAJOR SPORT CONSTRUCTION IN SOUTHERN EUROPEAN PART OF RUSSIA

Annotation

The paper describes the characteristics of the soil cover of the territory Don-Aksay floodplain near Starocherkasskaya village. The technological transformation at the building and operation of the largest sport construction in the southern Russia – golf course "Don" – has been shown. There are author's soil maps before the golf course construction and after its completion. It is shown that the transformation of the soil cover goes on the way to increase the diversity of soils. Before the golf course construction, there were seven soil contours but now it is found 15 soil types, including two new types – replantozem and konstruktozem. Deep ameliorative transforming of the landscape had radically changed the soil-ecological situation of agricultural fields. Coupled with the latest technology of automatic irrigation systems and local drainage, it’s provided a stable growth for new lawns on different new soil types.
