THE NEW IRRIGATION SYSTEM FOR PIEDMONTS OF THE SOUTH RUSSIA (OVERVIEW)

Annotation

The analysis of the main principles in melioration aimed at soil fertility maintenance and improvement of irrigated lands is presented in the article. Developed by authors the environmental friendly technologies of discrete furrow irrigation with variable discharge of irrigation stream and water application rate dispersal are introduced in the article. These technologies eliminate disadvantages of conventional irrigation technologies. Proposed irrigation system in piedmonts allows introducing in irrigated agriculture the biointensive technologies, zero and minimum tillage and irrigation control method using meteodata and relative readings of integral soil moisture sensor.
