GULLY MODELING FOR FOREST RECLAMATION PURPOSES
- Land Reclamation, Recultivation, and Land Protection
The paper presents the results of researching into the effect of drip irrigation on physical and chemical soil properties. The irrigation water was estimated from the viewpoint of its influence on possible negative soil processes, performance of drip irrigation systems, culture yield and water permeability. It was established that drip irrigation using water from river Don didn’t affect significantly on soil salinity and alkalinity. At the end of irrigation season the decreasing of total content of water-soluble salts and exchangeable cations with the exception of water-soluble hydro carbonates and exchangeable calcium in topsoil 0-20 cm was observed.
