The article deals with the problems and prospects of development of water management in agro-industrial complex of Russia. The suggestions for realization of the Water Strategy in agro-industrial complex were given: development of administrative regulations for recordkeeping and providing information for inclusion in the State Water Register in Agriculture Ministry of Russian Federation; improvement guidelines for development of schemes of complex use and protection of water bodies and submitting proposals to the main direction of the project concept FTP "Development of water sector of the Russian Federation in 2012-2020 years".
