GULLY MODELING FOR FOREST RECLAMATION PURPOSES
- Land Reclamation, Recultivation, and Land Protection
The aim of the paper is to improve water management technologies in agricultural industry on the basis of a convergent approach. At the present stage of agribusiness development in the North Caucasus and Southern Federal District, on the territory inhabited by over 23 million people (16.3 % of the population of the Russian Federation) there is an ambitious task of creating radically new water management technologies in different technological systems. The multi-year research of nature engineering systems “Environment – Object of activity – Population” in the field of water consumption indicates that the main and in fact the only way to solve this problem is to improve water resources energy use on the basis of modern scientific approaches and creation of new technologies of agricultural production. One of such scientific approaches is a convergent one, which combines advances in fundamental knowledge (physics, chemistry, biology, mathematics, etc.) and in branch research areas (materials science, hydrology, hydraulics, computer science, etc.). In conclusion it should be noted that the use of a convergent approach in improvement of existing water technologies in agro-industrial allowed to form a stable trend towards increasing use of renewable sources of electricity on small hydropower plants (HPP) to improve the efficiency of water use in existing irrigation systems.
