GULLY MODELING FOR FOREST RECLAMATION PURPOSES
- Land Reclamation, Recultivation, and Land Protection
Purpose: to study the temperature effect on rice yield during the growing season.
Materials and methods. The object of the research is control issues of rice agrocenosis hydrothermal regime. The initial data on the temperature regime for the phases of rice development phases were processed. In the course of data processing, the temperature accumulated by the sowing, the total temperature function “morphogenesis” indicator and the sunny days fraction were assessed.
Results. In the course of factor and comparative analysis, the dependences of the yield value on the temperature factor in different phases of rice growth and development were identified. So, in the phase of booting with an increase of high temperatures sum, the yield increases, and for the period from ear emergence to maturation, the response in yield is identified with a decrease of the accumulated high temperatures sum and an increase of moderate air temperatures sum. The analysis showed that natural fluctuations in temperature cause yield variation in the region of irrigation systems up to 8–10 %, as a whole, and in some fields this influence can reach greater values.
Conclusions. With the help of diversified regression equations, the crop response to temperature is presented. The studies performed show a possible direction for the further improvement of rice agronomic practices, which needs matching the rice varietal requirements with the hydrothermal regime during the entire growing season and matching the irrigation regime with meteorological and agro-reclamation conditions.
