GULLY MODELING FOR FOREST RECLAMATION PURPOSES
- Land Reclamation, Recultivation, and Land Protection
The aim of the work is to improve the technology of preparation of livestock wastewater with the use of a nepheline coagulant for agricultural use. Currently, within the framework of the national project “Development of Agribusiness” in the field of agriculture the creation of closed technological schemes, including livestock breeding, feed production and livestock wastewater for a more complete and efficient use of organic and mineral components of livestock wastewaters and solutions of environmental and energy problems is the priority. A nepheline coagulant – a widespread practice in natural and waste waters preparation, and phosphogypsum – a waste product of ortho-phosphoric acid and fertilizers are recommended for use as coagulants. Phosphogypsum is used for livestock wastewater pre-acidification to increase the velocity of coagulation process. By advanced technology the livestock wastewater for agricultural use from pig feeding complexes and farms is preliminary acidified by 10–15 mg/cubic dm phosphogypsum, then it is treated with nepheline coagulant of 5–20 mg/cubic dm on aluminium oxide and both liquid and solid phases are disinfected with “MikrozimTM”. A two-stage chemical treatment contributes to more efficient wastewater separation into liquid and solid fractions. Preparation technology improvement of livestock wastewater from pig feeding farms based on the application of nepheline coagulant as a reagent helps simplify purification, reduce irrigation water deficit and solve the problem of waste disposal of the third class of hazard – livestock wastewater from pig farms. The research results of physical and chemical indicators of livestock wastewater allowed to recommend liquid fraction for irrigation, and solid fraction as an organomineral fertilizer.
