The paper deals with the results of patent research on the topic “Water evaporation mainly from the surface of open water bodies”. The aim of the research is to evaluate state of the art, determine the main trends of technical decision development for intensifying water evaporation from water surface and on such a base to choose the most perspective directions for searching new design of storage device for mineralized drainage waters in irrigation zone. Methodology base for patent research was the basic provisions of standard GOST R 15.011–96. The results of patent search confirm world-wide interest to the given research direction and its availability including the evaporation of mineralized drainage waters. State of the art on the issue of intensifying water evaporation was 59 patents for invention from 10 countries during the period 1976–2014. The main trends of technical decision creation for intensifying evaporation on the following classification criteria were 1) realization of the process in space; 2) energy-supply of the process; 3) main directions of intensifying the process (increasing the area of evaporating surface, water temperature, wind speed, and their combinations). As a result of the research the perspective trends for searching new technical decisions for storage device for drainage water were determined: 1) increasing the area of evaporating surface mainly due to porous and capillary-porous materials; 2) increasing the temperature of evaporating water.
Keywords: mineralized drainage waters, storage device for drainage water, evaporator for drainage water, intensification of water evaporation, patent search, state of the art, development trends of technical decisions.
